COVID-19 relief was meant to give a lifeline to hospitals, especially the small, rural facilities that struggled to stay open before 2020. But in states like Oklahoma, problems created by confusing guidelines could cause harm long after the pandemic.

Oklahoma trying to return its $2m stockpile of hydroxychloroquine
The Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office has been tasked with attempting to return a $2 million stockpile of a malaria drug once touted by former President Donald Trump as a way to treat the coronavirus.

Oklahoma chooses vendors for $2 billion program partially privatizing Medicaid
The companies will usher in managed care and partially privatize Oklahoma’s Medicaid program, SoonerCare. That will include the portions under the recently passed Medicaid expansion.
