It's our anniversary

Three years strong.

We officially launched The Frontier three years ago today.

Since then, we've done powerful journalism unlike anything else in Oklahoma. We've fought for transparency and battled with politicians and public figures on your behalf.

Day 1 of the teacher walkout

Teacher walkout - Day 1

Thousands of Oklahoma teachers and supporters rallied at the state Capitol on Monday to protest low pay and years of funding cuts to education.

Amid picket lines, teachers quizzed lawmakers over education funding.
Wearing frowns and protest signs around their necks, teachers paid their state lawmakers a visit, sometimes waiting in long lines for just a few minutes of sometimes tense meetings.
Tulsa Public Schools teacher Anthony Cherry took a bus to Oklahoma City and attended Monday's walkout at the state Capitol. The Frontier was there to see how his day went in this video.
Hundreds of people in Tulsa-area communities supported the teacher walkout from home.

Many, equipped with clever signs, lined busy Tulsa streets to protest. Some delivered food to students and their families. Others provided daycare services for working parents who depend on schools to keep their children during the day.
Damn the lies and expose the truth. Donate to The Frontier today.

Help us remain sustainable in 2018

Help us end the first quarter of 2018 on a good note.

Earlier this week we asked our social media followers for 10 new donors. We hit that mark within hours.

Now we're hoping to add five new recurring donors to our ranks. Recurring donations — financial contributions we can count on each month or each quarter or each year — help ensure we can keep producing the kind of quality journalism you're used to.

Can you help? Even $5 a month goes a long way toward helping us remain sustainable.

As a bonus, recurring donations of at least $5 a month (or any number totaling $60 in a year) will receive one of our Frontier shirts.
