Tulsa fire chief issued gun without CLEET certification
State law requires that all peace officers who carry a gun be CLEET certified, and typically the only employees in a fire department who are classified as peace officers are fire marshals and fire inspectors, according to a state official.

Doctor's license up for review again 
Dr. Leslie Masters, who the medical board says has no formal surgical training, had her medical license restricted to not perform surgeries in 2016. She allegedly gave a patient syringes filled with the patient’s fat tissue and told the patient to take the syringes home, put them in her freezer and self-inject them into her face when she desired.

Documents: Body camera policy not violated when TPD officer didn't record Barre shooting
The deputies, assigned to TCSO’s mental health unit, said they were conducting a wellness check on Joshua Barre, whose family had warned the Sheriff’s Office days earlier that Barre was mentally ill and had been off his medication for more than a month.

A witness to the motorcycle crash that killed Cobie Tyner, 18, said a Tulsa County sheriff's deputy who was at the scene of the crash did not attempt to render aid to Tyner after the crash happened.

More: A preliminary OHP report on the fatal crash failed to mention possible involvement of a sheriff's deputy.
Chronic homelessness grew in Tulsa in 2017, despite increasing success getting people into housing.
The new pedestrian bridge is expected to take 18 months to two years to build and will be constructed in conjunction with the Zink Dam. That project is expect to begin next year.
