The Gatesway Foundation says state budget cuts caused financial woes. Documents show the problems run far deeper.

'Most unprofitable'
"High Flyin' Lester Carter" had been a client of The Gatesway foundation for 50 years. But when the agency ran into financial problems, Lester and several other clients deemed "most unprofitable" were let go.

10 days. 10 new donors.

This week we started our end-of-May fundraising drive.

We started small, hoping to add 10 new donors to our ranks before the month ended. We're almost there, and you can help us reach and exceed our goal.

Why donate to The Frontier? It's simple, because if you love your community, then local investigative journalism is one of the best ways to show your support.

And that support goes a long way in our newsroom. All donations directly support our reporters as they continue to uncover stories that wouldn't be exposed without your support.
