COVID-19 deaths have plunged as more Oklahomans get vaccinated Deaths in the state peaked in January and quickly fell off once COVID-19 vaccines were rolled out en masse. Now that the most vulnerable are vaccinated, the burden for herd immunity falls on younger Oklahomans. Half of Oklahoma adults have received at least 1 dose of the coronavirus vaccine Nearly 40% of Oklahoma adults are fully vaccinated, and 50.5% of adults have received at least one dose.
