Oklahoma health officials can’t account for more than $20 million in protective equipment spending

The Oklahoma State Department of Health admits “mistakes were made” in its scramble to secure scarce supplies during beginning stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As lawmakers pushed up against another legislative deadline this week, a handful of bills were overhauled and given new language, sparking frustration between lawmakers and from Gov. Kevin Stitt.
